After more than 2 years, we’re thrilled to be hosting another house concert: a return engagement for Rose Polenzani on Thursday July 7th!
Weekly Dig recently described Rose by writing: “‘Folk badass’ might seem like an inappropriate term for an artist as intimate and soulful as Polenzani–but you know what? We’ll risk it. She’s kinda like Leonard Cohen and kinda like Nick Drake, with maybe just a touch of rock attitude thrown in. And on top of that, when you hear her singing, it’s hard not to think: ‘What a badass.’”
Rose is our favorite folk badass and we hope you’ll join us for what is certain to be an incredible night of music!
The music will start at 7:30 PM, with a suggested donation of $15.
Rose Polenzani made her debut at the 1998 Newport and Lilith Fair Festivals, and has been writing and touring ever since. She has released six albums to date, with a seventh on the way, including two on Amy Ray’s Daemon Records and one as a member of Voices on the Verge, alongside Jess Klein, Erin McKeown, and Beth Amsel. Her last studio effort, When the River Meets the Sea, was recorded with Boston sensation Session Americana. Originally from Chicago, Rose currently lives and plays in Massachusetts as the folk darling of the Cambridge music scene. (RosePolenzani.com)
